Animations of Chapter 3:
Clumpy Models of AGN Tori

This page shows animations of changing visibilities of our models (clumpy and corresponding continuous models) with changing baseline and position angle. The upper right panel shows the radiative transfer image, the upper left panel the corresponding Fourier-plane (UV-plane). Overlayed over the image is the position of the baseline. In the lower row, the resulting visibility, as well as the deviation from the mean value is plotted against baseline and position angle, respectively. Shown are the examples of the standard clumpy model and the corresponding continuous model for a wavelength of 12 μm.

Visibilities plotted against baseline and position angle varied

clumpy i=0° i=30° i=60° i=90°
homogeneous i=0° i=30° i=60° i=90°
